Additional Costs
Room and Board The weighted average for room and board and other expenses is generated as follows:
  • (amount for on-campus room, board and other expenses * # of students living on-campus.
  • + amount for off-campus (with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus with family
  • + amount for off-campus (not with family) room, board and other expenses * # of students living off-campus not with family)
divided by the total # of students. Students whose living arrangements are unknown are excluded from the calculation. For some institutions the # of students by living arrangement will be known, but dollar amounts will not be known. In this case the # of students with no corresponding dollar amount will be excluded from the denominator.

First of all, the classes are mostly all religious, so if you're not Christian, don't apply here. You won't like it. Second, there's very few math and sciences courses, so for all of us uber-challenged, that's a huge plus!
The professors are always open to helping new students. Many of them attended LCU or another similar college in the past and understand the difficulty of adjusting to the environment. They also understand a student's need to have fun and often join in!
Sarah from Lincoln, IL
Lincoln Christian University is a fantastic genuine community. The Professors want you to succeed and be ready to go into the world equipped with useful skills to live a Christian lifestyle in a Secular world. They are engaged in your life and want to get to now you better.
Abbey from Newark, IL
Lincoln Christian University is a place where students can be challenged in their spiritual lives and are encouraged along the way. Students are also required to participate in community service activities that are related to their degree which helps students get real world experience while completing their degree. Lincoln is welcoming and the student body is active.
Jessica from Kennebunk, ME
lincoln christian university is an exceptional institution for learning how to think critically and engage with the world. lcu teaches its students not to blindly believe what they believe, but to question it and really believe it. in addition, their programs are very sound with incredibly intelligent and competent professors.
Benjamin from Decatur, IL
The staff genuinely cares for the students. The facilities are very nice, especially the brand new girls dorm. I love the faith-based, caring community on campus.
Samantha from Mount Pulaski, IL
The faculty, deans and support staff were extremely friendly and took the time to answer all my questions and share information on the programs, financial aid, and student activities. I also was able to meet with students and get questions answered about student life. It was a very informative and fun day.
Megan from Chillicothe, IL
The professors care about each student's success. It is a small campus that is very safe. It is very affordable considering it is a private university.
Dominique from Herrin, IL
