Review of Lewis & Clark College

from Edmonds, WA

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

The classes are fairly rigorous, but nothing that can't be kept up with. I am learning information that was never taught to me in high school. All of the professors I have had are very accessible during office hours and are really encouraging to make sure that you fully understand the coursework.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

The campus life is awesome. Lewis & Clark is a small college with a fairly tight-knit community. There is a place for everyone on this campus. The college makes is easy to have fun on campus without spending a lot of money: the activities range from dances and movies to concerts on campus from great artists and chances to get outdoors and go hiking and kayaking.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Sure this school can cost a lot of money, but financial aid and scholarships are available to most students. I feel like for the money I am paying, I am getting the quality of education and small class sizes that I need in order to succeed in college.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Be prepared for college and actually try your hardest coming out of the gate: don't take the easiest classes of your college career during the first semester, challenge yourself and see what great things can happen. Keep calm and carry on.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

If you are a smart, eco-conscious, liberal art minded student: you will love it here. If you are looking for an easy way out: you may not find yourself loving life at LC.
