Overview
With campus on the shores of Keweenaw Bay, Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College is a 2-year tribal community college in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. KBOCC confers associate degrees in five fields of study and hosts four certificate-granting programs. To preserve the history and culture of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community, the college offers an Anishinaabe Studies degree and oversees a tribal oral history project called Weaving Our History. Outside of the classroom, KBOCC is home to chapters of several Native student organizations including American Indian Business Leaders and the Student and Native Organization of Writers and Storytellers.
