iupui is has a great educational atmosphere that goes out of its way to teach its students valuable life experience. iupui is a university that teaches its students to try to make impact on its community by doing various volunteer activities. the university is pretty unique because it is part of downtown indianapolis
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
i would tell a prospective student to live on campus, so they can get the college experience. i would also tells them to get involved, for it will make ones college experience richer. the last thing i would say is to stay focused on their school work.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
classes are pretty hard and a student will have to earn their grade. also, iupui has different help centers that are free to its students and can be used throughout the year.professors are pretty knowing of what they teach
Describe the dorm life at your college.
iupui had an multitude of housing events that are fun and are great bonding experiences. the ra's here are amazing and are their for their residents. majority of iupui's housing has a/c and is on campus.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
iupui has it's own outtakes system of sandwiches, salads and healthy choices. one can go to campus center and eat from a couple of restaurants, including chic-fil-a. even though iupui doesn't have a ton of dining options on campus, it is located downtown where there are a multitude of restaurants that take jagtags.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
one can attend many of the housing or campus events, go and see a free movie, or just hang out with friends. me and my friends like to go walking on the canal or go shopping at circle center, a multi-level mall. one can also go to one of several museums that are located downtown
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
with iupui, you get the best of both worlds from indiana university and purdue university. depending on studies, you get an actual degree from either university. also, iupui students can use either schools resources.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
campus houses its own police fleet. if any of the students feel like they are in danger, they can press the emergency kiosks that are located throughout campus. iupui also has its own phone number that a student can call if they do not feel safe that will send a police officer to you at night or during the day.
