Describe your college in three sentences.

It is a school where you will constantly ask yourself why you are here. However, it is also the only school where you could ver see yourself being at.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Stay open minded and don't give up. Tech can and will literally drain you of everything you have.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Tech is HARD. Do not come to this school expecting to fly through every class. It my seem at first that things are easier for certain people, but there will always be a class to trip them up. The reason that Tech is so difficult is that they want to prepare for every type of situation. Tech cannot teach how to be an engineer, that comes from work experience. However they can teach you how to think like an engineer. Classes stretch your mind to not think of one or two ways to solve a problem, but 15 or 20 ways. Just know five years is the norm for the average tech grad, not 4. I

Describe the dorm life at your college.

Dorm life is ok at Tech. They introduced a program called Freshman Experience in all the traditional freshman dorms. There are great activities that they provide, but its up to you to want to go. Since most freshman live in a traditional dorm it is a 7 foo x15 foot dorm room you share or you may get a quad with three other roommate. The side of campus you are on is also important for they type of atmosphere yu want. On east campus, it is the more livelier side due to the greek houses and many freshman activities being on that side. West campus is much more quiet and a great place if you like to study peacefully in your room.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Just to let you know woodies is the only dining hall they have on west. It is the oldest of the three Tech has, But they recently just added a popular wing place called wingzone on West. Plus there are a couple of restaurants in a short walking distance like five guys or firehouse subs. On East you have Britain and North Ave, the newest dining hall. The food is okay to eat. If you are not in the mood for dining hall food ,you can easily head up to Tech Square for some Tin Drums

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Atlanta has to many things for me to list, but just know we are in Atlanta. Shopping: Lenox, Phippes Plaza, Other malls Art: Little Five Point ( don't go at night),High Museum of Art, the Fox Dancing: OPERA, and other night clubs Eating: The Vortex, The Varsity, Cute little eateries in Midtown Parks: Centennial, Piedmont These are just a minute few on a gigantic list. Many of these are just a walking distance from Tech. Have fun and explore safely

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Just know five years is the norm for the average tech grad, not 4. If you want to leave Tech with a degree AND a job , take all the opportunities they have readily available to you. Tech offers some of the best co-op and internship positions with great companies like Boeing, Google, Microsoft, Amazon, and many more. Who would not want to come to the number one public school in the nation, with some of the top engineering programs. Plus Tech tries to help Out of State students. If they do a study abroad program, than they can receive in-state tuition, which could be the difference of 20,000 dollars per year! If you want to pay for what you get, come to Tech.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

Tech is great for students who: - Work hard, -Study smart -Stay positive -Have a drive -Willing to overcome failure -Are willing to be open to other people and cultures- we have a lot of international students

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

There are so many clubs and organizations. Several are centered for incoming freshman under the big umbrella of FLOs ( Freshman Leadership Organizations). We have various clubs from sports clubs ( soccer, crew, volleyball), to musical clubs, to cultural clubs. There is something for everyone, and you can even start your own.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Greek life is okay. The ratio plays a role to the number of frats to sororities. Just know if your a guy and you want to go into a frat, you need to know a brother or they won't let you in.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

We are in Atlanta. At the end of the day, the only person who cares and watches over you is you. Do not put yourself in dangerous situations, and be smart about the areas and people you hang out with. GTPD tries, but they are not all that great, so really watch out for yourself, and don't always depends on them.
