Describe your college in three sentences.

If you are someone who is dedicated, motivated, and passionate about learning, then Georgia Tech is the school for you. Although this school expects hard work and determination in all subject areas, all that you have learned will benefit the next phase of your studies. And once you finish a class, the feeling of achievement and satisfaction is so strong, and you feel so proud of yourself.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Pursue a major that you feel passionate about - keep an open mind career-wise and don't crowd out other possibilities of study. Know your limits when it comes to taking a specific class load - take a manageable amount of classes your first semester to help keep your GPA high.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

The academic rigor at Tech honestly depends on personal preference of favorite classes and then the schedule of classes that you take. Everyone learns differently and favors one subject over another, so it is hard to say what class may be more rigorous than another.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

Dorm life is comfortable and an overall pleasant experience. It depends on who your roommate is, but I made a great group of friends just based on where I lived.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

I preferred cooking for myself over the dining halls. I think cooking meals a few times a week was better than eating in the dining hall because some days the dining hall choices were either lacking or the food was overall okay.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

I love Georgia Tech's location because you are so close to Midtown and then Downtown. I love attending concerts, so there are several venues close to campus. I also love the atmosphere of Midtown's shopping and dining. Downtown also has several attractions, including Zoo Atlanta, the Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Olympic Park, and Philips Arena.

Georgia Tech is always ranked very well when it comes to different magazines ranking the best colleges and universities in the US based on cost and then the overall experience of the school.

Tech has several traditions, chants, fight songs, and more. All are listed in the T Book, which freshmen receive at the Freshmen Convocation before fall classes begin.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

People who are dedicated, motivated, passionate about different subject areas, and eager to learn and succeed, and also to take what is learned in a classroom setting and apply it to the job world

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Tech has hundreds of various clubs, organizations, Greek life opportunities, and more. And you can also create new clubs of your own.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Georgia Tech has a strong Greek life presence on campus. Rush is an exciting time for all and the overall sense of Greek life provides friendship and support.
