Florida Polytechnic is a great choice for those who are wanting to go into any career field involving STEM research. Not only does this new school offer state of the art facilities for the classes and research, but it is also located in a central part of Florida where there are many different attractions which draw people from all around the state. Personally I love being a part of this brand new college and being able to influence the future of the university.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
I would suggest that students who live far away from the campus, look for housing near or on campus. It would be very difficult traveling to Florida Poly everyday for class if you did not live close.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
The university offers many advanced classes that require a great deal of work.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Given that the dorms are brand new, the dorms are very luxurious. The dorms are apartment style and offer a great deal of privacy and space for each resident.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The dining facility is brand new as well. Again, the facility is very nice and a large variety of food is offered from healthy sandwiches to loaded tacos on Wednesday.

The university is located in central Florida within in 30 minutes from several attractions like Disney World, the Gulf Coast beaches, Downtown Tampa, Busch Gardens, Downtown Orlando and many more.
