The adjustment from High School to College was a difficult one. In high school, you may spend one hour on homework a night however, you are in class all day. With college being opposite, it was a difficult adjustment. However, Colorado State does a very good job of teaching during class and that helps with this change. Every professor I have had thus far does an exceptionally good job on using their time given to make sure they teach exactly what we need to know. Since we are in class for such a short period of time, they also use this time to tell us what we need to study and guide our studying by making their expectations clear on what they would like us to know. I have found that this is teaching me a lot. Instead of trying to learn everything in the textbook, I am aware of what is important and what is not. I rate this section 5 stars because the teachers are great at what they do and informing us on what we need to know.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Coming from out of state, I was very unsure about my college choice. I was leaving a very close group of friends and I was expecting to be very homesick. However, I was surprised when the opposite happened. Everyone at Colorado State University is very welcoming and friendly. A countless number of people opened up to me and approached me. This helped me make friends very easily. The environment is very open and excepting. However, the students are not the only ones that are making my experience a great one. The staff is also helping with this. All professors always have their door open and allow you to come talk to them whenever you would like. This helps a lot when your struggling or just need a few words of advice. Dorm life has also been a great experience. All dorms make sure that they give you opportunities to meet people. They have events in every dorm once a week that every student is allowed to attend. These events take place in the various dorms and it is a great opportunity to meet people. Overall, I have enjoyed being a Colorado State.
