Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Be self-sufficient and ask a lot of questions to get the answers you need to know to have a successful future with the college. Apply for all scholarship available and talk with financial aid for any other opportunities for other scholarships. Please, talk with an advisor for the best possible goals for what you want as a career in life and be careful that you do meet all financial aid requirements by filling out the FASFA student on time. Take advantage of all the programs that are available to students such as: special services for students with disability (physical and mental), tutoring services, honor society and other programs.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
I find that in order to be successful you have to apply your own personal ability to get what you want out of the education provided. The instructors are great, all you have to do is make the time to get to know them and talk to them for any extra work you may need.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
No dorm life, all students live off campus.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
There is food and dining available within the main building of the campus. I would rate the food to be excellent and readily available for students on the go. Staff are great also.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There are many things you can do for fun. There are movie theaters, golf courts, roller skating rinks, bowling, hiking, tramway rides, and many other fun activities that go on year round in the Albuquerque metro area. The balloon fiesta is always the main attraction every October. It is awesome.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
I would say that success is achieved in college through the students' motivation and hard work through studies and self-discipline. You are basically deciding on your own to get an education. I know it is a great start for a great career and I say that it is an investment for life.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Great for both, in-state and out-of-state students who are thinking of attending an affordable college before entering a university. It is also great for students that need the extra help in academic status, like getting a GED or adults that are returning to college and are intimidated by Universities and want an introductory through college first.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are clubs that one can join like: Native American Club, Honor Society (Phi Kappa Beta), TRIO program, Leadership clubs, Writing clubs, and they also have other fun activities like learning chess. It is also a great opportunity to volunteer and get credits for it while in college; Student Learning Service center.

Central New Mexico has security that watch the campus everyday and at night. They will escort students to cars upon request and they provide excellent immediate response services in case of emergencies. They also monitor classrooms and building constantly to maintain order.
