I really love how Bradley is so personalized! That is the main reason I chose to be here. So far all of my teachers have been really involved in the learning process and it is very easy to get a hold of them for questions or office hours.
Each teacher is different but all of them have shown knowledge in their field and effectively use pictures and graphs to explain the concepts.
Bradely has a wonderful tutor program where you can get 2 hours of free tutoring a week. Not to mention the teachers are very concerned about how well you understand the material. Just ask them when to come in and they will help you as much as you need it!
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I do enjoy the campus but there isn't much around Bradley to do. To fill up your time, you need to join a sorority/fraturnity or be involved with many clubs/activities. One thing I love about this school is its late night BU program. Once a month, Bradley has late night BU with FREE admission, FREE food, FREE games, and many fun activities to choose from. It is a fun alternative to parties or drinking (if you are the conservitive student). Also, if you don't have a car to reach any grocery stores, clubs, or really anything else there isn't much to do. I also wish there was a football team but Bradley has a great basketball and soccer team!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
I think the education is of a good quality. The teachers know what they are talking about, the rooms are rather nice, and there is a home-like atmosphere. Also, Bradley is doing a lot of construction so more opportunies are coming!
The only real complaint I have is that Bradley feels isolated. Compared to larger universities, there isn't much to do around the campus. However, I'm hoping the current construction will change that.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Make sure to tour each campus before you choose. I wasn't planning on going to Bradley when I applied but I went on the tour and I loved it!
Also, don't be discouraged by the price. I applied early and qualifyed for a $16,000 schlorship. Good luck!
Which types of students will excel at your college?
If you like busy life, Bradley isn't for you. If you want a place where you recognize people, have a tight knit community, and easy access to help and teachers, Bradley is perfect! I am a rather shy person and I was able to find a great group of friends rather easily. The great thing about this school is that is small so its personalized AND its on the larger side so it has many clubs to choose from.
