My major is Elementary Education and thus far i have been enjoying every little minute of it. I have learn a lot about my major and i can not wait to return to Bethune Cookman to learn even more. Cookman has so many Majors that stand out but to me the Education Department is where to be!
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
Going to Bethune Cookman has given me the opportunity to experience things that I would not have experienced at home. The college life at Cookman is laid back and simple. Mostly every one is friendly and there are people from all over the united states to meet and learn about their home town. I have made many friends and tons of associates. I wouldn't trade going to college for any thing.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
It wouldn't hurt to lower the cost of education just a little bit. Every school has its flaws but I can honestly say that the cost to attend Cookman doesn't make up for its worn out dorms, its nasty same day food, and its door to door parking lots. So many people have the potential to go to Bethune Cookman but they don't have the money for it. That's why I'm on Cappex. I need to get some help for paying my tuition. If i don't receive any help for the up coming school year, i will be stuck at home at a community college, which there is nothing wrong with that but i will truly be hurt to not return to Cookman. At Cookman, i feel like you are only paying for your education and nothing else. The education that you receive is worth $20,000 (give or take) but every thing else.......no comment!
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
SAVE SOME MONEY!!!!!!! Be your self! Be confident! Keep your head up! And do not be a follower!!!!
Which types of students will excel at your college?
If you are some one who love to talk and be around people then Cookman is the place for you! I must say that Bethune has a great social life that i myself didn't think i would really take part in. I am usually quiet and keep to my self around people i don't know but when i got to Cookman, all of that changed. You will be able to find your true self when you go off to college and you will be surprised at the type of person you really are.
