The Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE) is a unique education program designed for active-duty Sailors serving at sea. It offers the chance to pursue college coursework without internet access—perfect for those deployed or shipboard personnel. Whether you’re aiming to complete a degree or build job-ready skills, NCPACE helps you earn college credit while serving, all with little or no out-of-pocket cost.

How the Navy College Program for Afloat College Education (NCPACE) Works

NCPACE is available to active-duty Navy members assigned to sea duty or other remote locations where internet access is limited. The program provides self-paced, instructor-led courses through participating colleges—no Wi-Fi required. Students receive materials in print or via CD/DVD and communicate with instructors by mail or email. 

Tuition is fully funded for eligible Sailors, and there’s no use of your annual Tuition Assistance (TA) limit. You can apply through the MyNavy Portal or by contacting a Navy College Education Counselor. While NCPACE doesn’t carry an additional service obligation, you must remain on active duty while completing courses.
