This scholarship is for individuals who are either graduating high school seniors of public or private high schools in the metropolitan Richond area; or adult-learners in the metro-Richmond area who are pursuing postsecondary education. Metro-Richland areas include the City of Richmond and the counties of Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, and Henrico. To qualify for this scholarship applicants must demonstrate strong academic achievement with a minimum 3.0 GPA or have earned a GED; and plan to enroll in or be currently enrolled in an accredited two- or four-year college or university, or technical school in the continental United States. Applicants must also demonstrate financial need, leadership abilities through participation in community service, extracurricular activities, and employment or work experience. Applicants must be citizens, nationals, or legal permanent residents of the United States.
