The Thiel Fellowship is not a scholarship, but a grant. The Thiel Fellowship allows young people who want to build new things instead of sitting in a classroom the opportunity to do so.

Fellows may not be enrolled in school while participating in this program. Applicants must be interested in pursuing an innovative and entrepreneurial idea with a clear plan to change to the world. This fellowship requires that students take two years away from college so they can fully focus on their projects. See website for full details.
