Summers County K.I.D.S. Scholarship

This scholarship was made possible by the success of the drama programs in the Summers County Schools led by Patricia Jeffries and Thomas Hutchison and will be given first in the spring of 2004. The student who receives this award should be a graduate of Summers County High School who participated in some aspect of the Hinton Area Kids in Dramatic Studies and/or the Summers County Drama Department. The student should be pursuing a degree in fine arts, participating in a fine arts program, or entering a field that would have a positive impact on the fine arts education. The applicant must submit an essay that reflects how the fine arts has had an impact on his or her education. The scholarship recipient will be chosen based on an evaluation of his or her application in formation including the essay.
