SPE San Joaquin Valley Section College Scholarship Program

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) - San Joaquin Valley Chapter

This scholarship is for current residents of California, or children of current SPE - SJV Section members. Those from another state who have petroleum-related work experience in the state of California through full-time, part-time, or summer employment are also eligible. Scholarships will be awarded to high school seniors and undergraduate-level college students. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must enroll as full-time students at an accredited college or university and pursue a degree in a petroleum-related field (any branch of engineering, environmental, or earth sciences). Strong consideration is given to demonstrated commitment to entering the petroleum industry through declared industry-related majors or work experience, essay responses, GPA, and extracurricular activities. Financial need is not being considered. Scholarships will be considered for applicants from undergraduate class levels of college study and graduating high school seniors.
