Rotary Club of Asheville Harry R. Morrill Scholarships

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

These scholarships are for graduating high school seniors who live in Buncombe County, North Carolina. To qualify for these scholarships, applicants must attend a public or private school within Buncombe county; students who attend North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM) or the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (UNCSA) are also eligible if their primary residence is in Buncombe County. Applicants must demonstrate superior academic achievement/potential and desire to learn; exceptional leadership qualities; participation in community service, extracurricular activities, or work experience; and a positive personal outlook. Academic record will be highly important in awarding these scholarships; as a guide, previous recipients have typically ranked in the top 5% of their class, earned a 4.0 weighted GPA, and been among the highest scorers on their SATs. Scholarship recipients must attend an accredited US institution on US soil.
