New York State Memorial Scholarships

New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC)

This is a college scholarship for children or spouses of New York police officers, firefighters, volunteer firefighters, emergency medical service workers, or peace officers who have died as a result of injuries sustained in the line of duty in service to New York. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be New York residents who are attending a New York school full-time at the start of the term for which payment is requested. They must also not be in default on any state or federal student loan, or on any repayment of state awards.
