Mildred Towle Scholarship For African-Americans

This scholarship is in honor of Mildred Towle who, after years of service with social welfare agencies on the mainland, came to Hawai'i and served as Director of the International Institute of Hawai'i and, later, Director of Adult Education, both program areas at the YWCA of O'ahu. She was known and honored for her commitment to better relations among all people. This is a scholarship for African-American Hawaii high school Seniors.
