Marilyn Lester and William Lester Scholarship

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

This scholarship is for graduating seniors at Asheville High School in Asheville, North Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must have a 3.5 GPA and demonstrated financial need. Applicants should also have median or above performance on the SAT, have taken a challenging academic curriculum, and exhibit active participation in extracurricular activities in school and community. Applicants must attend one of the specified North Carolina state institutions. To apply, applicants must submit an essay about their feelings and experiences growing up in Asheville and how it will impact their future.
