LMSA Scholarship for US Medical Students

Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA)

This scholarship is for students who are pursuing a medical degree and who are dedicated to serving the Latino and underserved communities. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must demonstrate a desire to advance in the state of healthcare and education in Latino and underserved communities through leadership in extracurricular activities and/or membership in civic organizations. Applicants must be seniors in college currently applying for enrollment into a US accredited medical school or be enrolled as medical students in a US accredited medical school by the time the award is given with an expected graduation date of 2013 or later. Students interested in applying to allopathic and/or osteopathic schools of medicine are welcome to apply. Students are eligible to receive the scholarship regardless of immigration status. Personal qualities, financial need, and academic and extracurricular activities will be considered in the selection process.
