This need-based scholarship honors Mr. Shafer’s lifelong commitment to helping Badin, Hamilton, New Miami and Ross High School students reach their educational goals by offering a scholarship to a young man or woman who wants to pursue a career in nursing. Mr. Shafer was the former President and owner of Shafer Implement Company. His family is most proud of his dedication to helping students through scholarships he set up through the Miami University Fund and the Hamilton Community Foundation.
