Heffington Scholarship

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina

This scholarship is for high school seniors and graduates who live in Cashiers or Highlands, North Carolina. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be attending a North Carolina state college/university or technical school. Those who attend the NC School of Science and Mathematics, the UNC School of the Arts High School, or a homeschool registered with the NC Division of Non-Public Education are also eligible, as long as their primary residence is in one of the two communities mentioned above. Applicants will be evaluated on strong moral character, financial need, demonstrated willingness to learn and pursue an education, community service, extracurricular activities, work experience, and work ethic. Please note that New Century Scholars will not be considered for a Heffington Scholarship.
