Ending Violence Against Women Award

About 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical and/or sexual violence, according to the World Health Organization. Much of this violence, including 38% of murders of women, are committed by male partners. This award was created to focus on people or initiatives to end this global scourge, which impacts women in every part of the world.

The Girls Impact the World Film Festival is an annual event that focuses on issues facing women and girls around the world. High school and undergraduate students, submit your 3-6 minute short films that address global women's issues such as: education for girls, maternal health, violence against women and girls, and a variety of other issues.
