Ed Hiestand Memorial Veterinary Student Scholarship
National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association
Funding is provided by donors in memory of Ed Hiestand and by the Orphaned Wildlife Rescue Center. Competition is open to all current veterinary students (includes interns and residents). The paper should cover a topic related to a veterinary aspect of wildlife rehabilitation (diagnosis, transmission, pathogenesis, treatment, and prevention of a specific disease; a case report; a wildlife medicine-related study; etc.) and may consist of a literature review, a personal experience, or both. The winner makes a 20 to 25 minute presentation at the Symposium and the paper is eligible for publication by NWRA.
