The Douglas County Waste Management Environmental Studies College Scholarship was established in 2005 to support Douglas County students seeking further education in environmental engineering or the area of environmental sciences. The committee seeks to award students who plan to major in one of these fields at an accredited educational program in the United States. Applicants must be a graduating senior of any Douglas County high school, will major in the areas of environmental sciences and/or environmental engineering, and enrolled in an accredited educational program in the United States.
