This scholarship is for Native Americans who are citizens of the Cherokee Nation in Oklahoma. To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must be residents of the fourteen-county jurisdictional area or contiguous counties and must not be eligible for the federal Pell Grant. They must also agree to perform one hour of community service for every $100 awarded. Recipients may attend any accredited public or private institution; proprietary (for-profit) institutions are not funded, nor are technical programs or associate's of applied science degrees.
