$1,000 Easy Scholarship: Take and Share a Quiz to Educate Others on Discrimination and Colorism

DoSomething.org

"Colorism" is a demonstrated bias towards people with lighter skin tones over people with darker skin tones, and often refers to explicit discrimination based on the complexion of a person's skin. Research on colorism associates this bias to social disparities for Black, Brown, Asian, mixed and Indigenous people with darker skin tones, including: worse mental health, higher school suspension rates, and fewer job opportunities compared to their lighter-skinned counterparts. Take our quiz to learn about colorism, and we'll send you a guide to help you advocate against colorism when you see it in pop culture, on social media, or on beauty products. Then share the quiz with a friend to help them dismantle colorist language, and you'll automatically enter to win a $1,000 scholarship.
