Review of Wofford College

from Columbia, SC

Describe your college in three sentences.

Wofford is a small college with big dreams. This college might be small, but has plenty of options for research and internships. I highly recommend this college if you're looking for deep, personal relationships with your fellow classmates and professors.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Highly recommend getting to know the department in which you want to major in. There have been multiple days where I would speak with my advisor on a personal level. She would comfort me and help me get back on my feet!

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

This is a hard school. Be ready to be challenged.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

The dorms are clean and offer a great community environment. The senior housing is unbelievable! Many people say that it's better than their first apartment.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Burwell, the cafeteria, has stepped their game up and is offering more varieties of food. The only thing that stinks is there is hardly anything open on the weekends for food and most of the time you'll have to go out and get something.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Most people are found at the Greek Village on a Friday night. There are multiple things to do during the week hosted by all sorts of clubs. There is never a shortage of things to do around campus.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

Before you graduate, you are suppose to get into the BellTower. During finals, everyone goes to rub a misspelling on a bench. It's said to bring good luck on your exams!

Which types of students will excel at your college?

People who love small schools and good (volatile) weather.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

There are so much clubs that you will have to try hard not to be involved in things. Even if they don't have what you're looking for, it's easy to start a club and get others interested in it.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

The school is mostly Greek Life. They say it's about 50% Greek, but it leans more towards 80%.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

Top notch! I recommend getting to know the officers because they will always have your back.
