william jessup is a wonderful christian university that combines amazing teachers with small class sizes that allows for one on one attention with the teachers. they have a relatively reasonable tuition rate, and you really get what you pay for. the classes are wonderful and not just boring lectures that are terrible.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
a tip for william jessup: they are a christian school, so be prepared to pray. all the teachers are very strong in their faith, and most of them like to pray before and after each class. be prepared to pray and be asked for any prayer requests you may have.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
academically, it is very challenging, but the teachers are willing to work with each student who is willing to ask for help. they are readily available through text/call and email, and are constantly willing to help anyone having a rough time. you have to try pretty hard to fail!
Describe the dorm life at your college.
the dorms are great, the only downfall is that the school grew so quickly that they don't have enough dorms for all the juniors and seniors, so they must find housing off campus. freshman and most sophomores are able to live on campus, though.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
the food is amazing! that is weird to say of a college cafeteria, but the food is catered and is of amazing quality. they offer a variety of options for any allergies, and they are always updating the menus.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
for fun, it is very close to sacramento and roseville, which offer many outdoor malls and shopping centers. it is also close to folsom lake, where you can go off-roading or hiking. as well, there is much night life in sacramento.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
people who are serious about their relationship with god and who want to pursue their christian education.
