Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Don't worry about making friends; there are so many different groups at Wes that you will find your group relatively quickly in the school year.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
If you don't procrastinate, the rigor isn't too bad. The work is reading-heavy in almost all classes with the exception of math.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
I live in the Butterfields dorm and it's very much like a community. Much of the dorms at Wes are very tight-knit and that's usually where a lot of friendships are started.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The food is great, but the food can be a bit repetitive. I recommend ordering take-out or delivery from town from time to time.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
There are events every weekend so there's always something to do, whether or not you're a partier or not.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Wesleyan's tuition is a bit steep, one of the most expensive in the country. But, filling out financial aid can lessen the load. It's a great experience if you can afford it or don't mind taking out loans or looking for scholarships.
