I am learning a lot at VVC. I just finished my second semester and it's easy to see that the instructors really do want their students to succeed. I have personally utilized the writing and math labs. Both have tutors to help you when you are not in class.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I enjoy going to school at VVC. The campus is beautiful. It is a great experience walking to class. The campus surrounds a lake which is inhabited by many ducks, geese, birds and other wildlife. It is a wonderful stress reliever to be able to sit and feed the ducks between classes. I have found the staff at VVC to be very friendly and helpful whenever I needed assistance.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
VVC has many different opportunities for low income homes. The price per unit is a bit high for non residence of California or homes that do not meet low income eligibility. I currently have the BOGG waiver and it saves me hundreds every semester.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
The amount you learn is directly connected with the amount of effort you are willing to make. Don't start anything you don't intend to finish. Most importantly, stay focused!
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Journalism, Fine Arts, Liberal Arts and any student with ambition and drive!
