We get a lot of job fairs, networking, and other types of events on campus that provide you with a great chance to meet the local business people as potential future employer and make connections within the community. We get professional workshops on different areas to help polish ourselves as a professional and get ready for the real business world.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
I have been studying here for two years; have won the International Student of the Year Awards, Business Student Association Legacy Award, with numerous other scholarships and awards. VIU has helped me greatly to succeed both academically and financially to stay on track and achieve me goals.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are always so many options available for students apart from the classroom work to explore and excel such as various business clubs such as marketing and accounting clubs, different faculties associations, sports teams, conferences, events, and much more that students can benefit from. I am a member of the VIU Business Student Association and an executive member of the Leadership Conference Committee (VILC).
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
VIU has a safe, green, and clean environment for students. I would surely recommend VIU to all international students out there because at VIU you can actually Love where you learn. :-)
