Describe your college in three sentences.

The U is an amazing place to meet friends you will have for the rest of your life. The facilities are all kept up to date, the academics are great, the professors are supportive, and all the maintenance, workers, staff, and students here are extremely friendly. There is always something planned by clubs or spontaneous going on inside capus or out on the green; this place will feel like home

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Branch out, join clubs, pay attention in class and put in the effort now--it only will get easier to adjust from here. Take advantage of all the programs and services offered by staff, clubs, professors, and resident assistants; its a great way to get to know people, get free food or t-shirts, and have fun and make new friends

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

The classes offered here are both interesting and challenging in all the right ways. The way they break down academic services by major really makes lining out your future very simple, and offer meetings with academic supervisors for every semester you register. There are also some very interesting free electives and opportunities to take classes outside of your major or comfort zone. Almost all the professors I have come in contact with are really great and supportive

Describe the dorm life at your college.

The dorms are super spacious and nicer than most schools. There are typical double and quads offered for underclassmen, then once you become an upperclassmen they have houses and apartments on campus that you can live in with your friends. Areas outside the dorms are kept clean by the fabulous maintenance staff (who will befriend you and give you all the toilet paper you will need for months) and they have a lot of tables, green area, and even a sand volleyball court outside one of them.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

The dining options are really good. As a freshmen you have unlimited meal swipes to use at the cafeteria style (which was rated one of the top in the nation for being so good and having so many different options daily), Einstein's bagels, or are fast food area which has pizza, chick-fila, zoca, and Quiznos. Starting the next year, you have availability to the Montrone pod which has really great fresh food such as chicken nuggets, grilled chicken, pulled pork, panini, and fresh made salads.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

There are many sports (division, intramural, and club) to be involved in that are fun. Intramural sports are done for fun and not the commitment, and gives you the chance to win the intramural champ tshirts. Resident assistants, clubs, and student government puts on events weekly and almost every weekend such as light up yoga, field night, springfest, amongst other things. There are parties and bar life on the weekend too. This school is really low key with people doing whatever they want: the parties are extremely fun and super great, but if thats not your scene you wont feel like you're missing out because there is usually other things going on or restaurants/downtown in walking distance from campus.
