The University of Scranton is a beautiful campus located in the city of Scranton, Pennsylvania. It is known for its academics and wonderful students. People will always hold the door for you here (literally).
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
The academics here are difficult, but designed to benefit you in the long run. However, I feel that I can do well in class and still have a social life.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Dorming at the University of Scranton is amazing! The rooms are larger than many other college dorms that I have seen. Res Life puts on great programs such as floor dinners, outdoor movies, and the campus block party. The Junior/Senior apartment options are gorgeous.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
The dining options are great. You can choose from 3rd floor DeNaples (normal college cafeteria cuisine with an upscale option such as lobster and steak, etc.), 1st floor DeNaples (Chick-fil-a, Quiznos, Starbucks, etc.), or the POD (salads and sandwiches). Everything is delicious!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
The University has a high acceptance rate into medical schools, dental schools, and graduate programs. I believe that it is worth the money.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
There are countless clubs and activities on campus, anything from Ultimate Frisbee to Urban Beats (the school's hip-hop dance team), from Relay for Life to being able to volunteer at the campus' own free clinic for the surrounding area. Whatever your interest, you will be able to find a niche at Scranton.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
The University of Scranton does not have Greek life.
