Review of University of North Texas

Describe your college in three sentences.

UNT is amazing, challenging, and rewarding. I transferred here almost a year ago and love it here! It is very easy to transition from high school to college in Denton and UNT.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

DO NOT WAIT TO DO ANYTHING With over 38,000 students, if you wait to do something, chances are, you'll miss the opportunity or spot for that class.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

There are some really challenging courses and majors here, however, there are also some pretty easy ones as well. It depends on who you take the course with and how many classes you take. I joined a sisterhood while taking 18 hours and still managed to pull an A average for that semester. It just takes work and dedication.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

I have not personally lived in a dorm here, but I know many people who have, some love it some hate it. It really depends on the roommate you get and how flexible you are as a person.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

There are SO MANY OPTIONS. The only problem is not going broke from buying food on campus all the time.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Denton has a huge night life scene, and we're about 40 minuets away from places like Dallas, Fort Worth, Allen, Plano, Frisco. There's so much to do and see. The location definitely drew me here.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

You get so many things for free when you're taking classes it isn't even funny. check out the website for more info, there is too much for me to type our here, haha.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

I'm not huge into football, so I don't know much, but there are tons of school spirit traditions and weird locations here if you're into that stuff.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

literally anybody would fit in here. I hate big schools, but I love it here. You can make UNT feel as small or big as you want it to.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Over 400 clubs and organizations on campus. We have an entire system dedicated to listing them and a search engine for them.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

Amazing, I'm not in a sorority, but I get along with the sorority girls, and there's tons of frats too.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

I have never felt unsafe on campus once, even with as many people on campus as there normally are.
