I am definitely learning a bunch here at UND. The math classes I've had are better than any high school math, but the Chemistry classes I've had so far haven't been the best if you, like me, don't have a strong Chemistry background (thus the 4/5). A vast majority of the classes are well taught, but occasionally you will come across a dud.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
The campus is great, as are the people. There are many things to do on the weekends and it's very easy to keep busy. The campus is absolutely gorgeous, too!
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
College isn't cheap, but UND is reasonably priced. The classes are well taught, so I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Be ready for the cold!! :) But really, bring a heavy coat.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
I think that UND is great for almost anyone. However, if you need a big city, like Minneapolis, Chicago, or bigger, then Grand Forks, probably isn't for you.And if you're going into the sciences, it helps if you have a strong Chemistry background here. Also, I wasn't kidding about the cold, so if you are a beach bunny, you might want to reconsider your college choice.
