Great for aviation majors. Great for hockey fans. Get a warm coat.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Take a lot of AP classes in HS to get out of many freshman classes. UND accepts a lot of/if not all AP credits. Visit campus. I fell in love with the campus and aviation program and it's why I'm headed to UND.
Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?
Any college is going to be challenging coming from high school. Again, take AP classes as they prepare you better for college level work loads than on level classes. You get out what you put in and UND has a lot to offer.
Describe the dorm life at your college.
Seemed nice enough. Looking forward to getting the college experience living in the dorms.
Describe the food and dining at your college.
Was pleasantly surprised by the dining hall during the visit. Wilkerson is new and was very nice. Seem to have a lot of options between the 3 dining centers and the smaller dining halls at the med school and airport.
What’s there to do for fun at your college?
Hockey games. Football team is on the upswing.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
OOS tuition is very low compared to many other schools. You can get in-state tuition after a full year living in ND. Aviation majors should check out the flight fees and be prepared for those. Flight fees are quite reasonable compared to other programs for a better quality of classes/instruction.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Aviation students, hockey fans, anyone really who doesn't mind the cold.
Are you involved in any clubs or activities?
All kinds of clubs and D1 sports.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
UND has it's own police dept and blue light poles around campus.
