Describe your college in three sentences.

This school is so awesome because it a small, art-based school that appreciates quirks and individuality. I love the city of Asheville too; the town is so eclectic and colorful. The student-teacher ratio is great, and I am close with about 75% of my professors.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Be yourself and do not take too many or too little credit hours the first semester. Also, find out how to use the bus and taxi system. It is really helpful knowing how to get downtown or get home.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

This school is not very competitive, which was a nice change from high school.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

Dorm life is pretty good and everyone gets a suite of 4 people with a suite bathroom.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

There are vegan and vegetarian options and it really allows for healthy eating.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Go to concerts! See downtown! There are plenty of local bands, a drum circle, many restaurants, and some neat stores! EXPLORE!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

This school is pretty cheap and that is definitely a perk.

They have so many clubs and activities. Not many sororities or fraternities.

Very safe campus. Ranked the safest in the UNC system.
