Describe your college in three sentences.

UNA is a great school with high-standard academics and a close-knit student community. The campus and Florence area is beautiful place to live, and the area offers loads of entertainment.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Be prepared to work hard and play hard... and be warned most teachers take attendance and have a rather strict attendance policy.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Teachers have very strong curricula and will push you to your potential. You will work hard, and learn a lot.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

The newly renovated Rice and Rivers are great to live in. However the experience as a whole is really defined my the Community Adviser in charge of your floor, and the people you room with. LaGrange has terrible bathrooms, but its way closer to your classes for those that are late-risers.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

Towers is okay to eat at, but I would invest more into your dining dollars. Places around the area is student-friendly and pretty good. Definitely eat at Montague's and RiceBox; a few of the Florence originals.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Don't miss the Renaissance Faire in late October every year!! or any of the First Friday festivals that occur downtown every first Friday of the Month. TVA and Wildwood park have great nature trails for those that love the outdoors. Hammocking is a popular pastime.
