Review of University of North Alabama

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Great professors that genuinely care about your success in their classes. (And they know your name!) Free tutors available to fit around your schedule.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

It's so easy to meet people here. Everyone is so sweet and helpful. There are tons of clubs to get involved in and lots of activities on campus.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Tuition prices are currently going up as the school is moving up to D1 for all of the sports, but tuition is still really good. It's much less than all of the colleges I researched before choosing a school. Definitely reasonable tuition prices. And there are lots of scholarships available too!

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Come visit! And try to shadow someone in their classes. There's no better way to find if a school is right for you than to experience the campus for yourself. If you choose to come, live on campus!!! Even if you're only 30min away, living on campus is so fun, and you really get the college experience!

Which types of students will excel at your college?

If you want to experience a smaller town, Florence is perfect. UNA is a smaller school (~7500 students), so it's pretty easy to find your outlet and get really involved without feeling overwhelmed. But UNA is still large enough that it's very diverse, and it's really cool to experience so many different cultures.
