Describe your college in three sentences.

The University of New Hampshire is home to me. UNH includes a wide aray of academic studies that is sure to satisfy your goals for the next four years, along with resources that will help you create an unforgettable journey and the adventure of a lifetime. I take pride in being a part of the UNH community and strongly encourage young adults to consider it in their quest to start a future in the career of their choice.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Prospective students should seriously consider UNH due to its variety of oppurtunites and beautiful campus. UNH is great for pretty much anything you might ever be interested in. Everyone is thrilled to be here and we all take pride in calling this place our home. When it comes time for break or graduation, the common reaction for students is that they never want to leave. UNH is somewhere that everyone is welcome. We are all here to pursue our dreams and aspirations and we are more than ecstatic to be doing so on this campus.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

Overall, prospective students should expect college to be challenging. In order to prepare these young adults for a future in the career of their choice, they must get a proper education. UNH does an excellent job in this by implementing a challenging but useful curriculum and the staff and faculty do an incredible job in helping their students be successful. For some the level of academic rigor may be a bit of a wake-up call however, the skills you learn at this school are life lessons that you will keep with you your whole life.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

The dorm life at UNH is very agreeable. There are multiple places to choose from on campus and depending where your classes are or where you want to be placed, there are different areas of dorms to choose from. I personally really liked that they provide dorms with multiple age groups and backgrounds, that way students are able to mingle with a variety of people and not just students in the same year as them. Res Life is a great thing here on campus and the RA's do a great job. Some of the best relationships I have made here at UNH are with RA's in my building and I love being able to go to them for whatever I need. Overall, people are very respectful of each other in dorms and the public areas tend to stay fairly clean, which is very important.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

As you may have heard, UNH has some of the best food around! There are three dining halls to choose from in addition to multiple other locations you can go to satisfy whatever your craving is. Hoco (holloway commons) is my personal favorite and offers the largest variety of food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Each night is something different and there is always multple choices in case the nightly specialty isn't your favorite. Did I mention buffet style aka unlimited everything?

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

There are always plenty of oppurtunites for fun things to do on campus and I encourage any prospective students to keep that in mind! Whether you love getting involved in the multiple organizations on campus or simply want to hit the gym, you are sure to find your niche here on campus. SCOPE is a great organization on campus that brings fun, big-name concerts for students to go see. CAB also holds fun events for students like bingo, the spring carnival and other fun things. Also, there are always movie showings in the MUB theatre that you can buy tickets for and other events going on in the MUB every week.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

College woods is a great location for people who enjoy finding their peace with nature. Whether you want to run 5 miles or simply visit the hidden waterfall, college woods is somewhere you should visit before you graduate. T-hall is also somewhere that a lot of students enjoy going to hang out on sunny days. Some of my favorite memories are spent on T-hall lawn when I use to be a first year student.

Are you involved in any clubs or activities?

The clubs and activites on campus are definitely one of UNH's best qualities. There are numerous clubs and organizations that so many students are passionate about and love to get involved in.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

UNH does an excellent job with making sure students feel safe, after all this is our home.
