Review of University of Nevada-Reno

from Keizer, OR

Do you feel you’re learning a lot?

The facilities at UNR are staffed by intellegent people and the resources are pratically endless. The main library is huge! The professors are very passionate about their area of study; they are always willing to lend a hand or just talk.

Do you enjoy the experience at your school?

UNR has a great variety of clubs, events, and extra-ccurricular activities. The living halls are the place to meet people, from the RAs to other residents. The campus is beautiful!

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

As an Oregon resident, moving out of state seemed like a big hassle, but UNR is affordable and very comforting. The buildings on campus are very nice, and for a big campus, it's easy to walk from one end to the other. The grounds are well-kept and the campus shuttle is accessible to anyone.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

Be ready for extreme but fun weather! Buying books online through the campus bookstore is easy--use it! Keep in mind which major one has chosen; the departments are very useful for scholarships, work-study, and pretty much anything.

Which types of students will excel at your college?

The students at UNR are so diverse that everyone will fit in. Anyone looking for a change of pace can find the right one at UNR.
