You will find great people in your dorm. UMD students are very friendly and easy-going people, but they also take their schoolwork very seriously. You will accomplish great things at this university, and your dorm-mates will be like your family.

The North and South Campus Diners offer a great variety of choices. 251 North offers all-you-can-eat gourmet dining, and is very fun to visit with friends. There are also numerous shop on campus and Route One has many different restaurants that are located right off campus and will suit everyone's fancy

In-state tuition is a great way to save money on college. You will be educated at one of the best universities in the world, and won't have to break the bank in order to get a world-class education.

Everyone must bathe in the fountain on McKeldin Mall at least once during their time in College Park.

The amount of clubs and organizations on campus is ridiculous. You will feel a bit overwhelmed at the First Look Fair. There is something to fit everyone's interests.
How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?
People think that College Park is an unsafe city. However, nothing could be further from the truth. Campus police do a great job, and I've never heard of any major incidents occurring on campus. If something does happen, students are notified immediately. So we are definitely kept in the loop.
