All of my teachers have been great so far. The classes are small, which creates a better learning environment and more one-on-one time with teachers and other students. I learned the most in my two LCSR classes (English and History) because the classes shared a book. I could read a classic and learn about it from a writing perspective, and then learn about it from a historical perspective.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
The campus is pretty small (about 2,500 students), which I like. I like the fact that I know many people well, and that walking across campus takes less than ten minutes.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
Even though Lynchburg College costs about $37,000 a year, the college gives out an incredible amount of financial aid. I'm only paying $8,000 to go there this year. That's less than going to a state school.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Even though Lynchburg College gives out lots of financial aid, keep looking for more. Also, keep up your GPA and SAT scores. Lynchburg does not require very high scores to receive big financial aid packages.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Those who like a small, compact campus with great scenery.
Those who like small class sizes and one-on-one time with teachers.
Those who like lots of financial aid opportunities.
Those who like a multitude of campus activities.
