This is a great school, I love it here. Great learning opportunities for all types of students. This school also has a good atmosphere.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

If you come here thiking you don't have any help at all in college, you will be pleasantly surprised. This school is a great school for people who are looking for that home away from home.

The dormlife here makes you feel like you are apart of a community. They try to put you in a room with either someone you have requested or someone they know you get along with and that you will easily be close with.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

There is a lot of different food choices here at ULL. They have great cafeteria food if you do not want to spend your money.they also have food places on campus where you can use the money the school gives you. They have pizza delivery if you are stuck in your room studying and if you are an off campus student, their are good cultural food places around.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

Even though it is a small town surrounding University of Louisiana at Lafayette, there are still tons of fun things to do. From joining a club, to going to a community event or just hanging out with friends, the school provides lots of exciting things for you to do to take the stress off from your daily work load.

Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?

Even though the dorm prices are a little high it is still worth the money. You get out a lot more than you put in at this school and because it is one of the cheapest schools in louisiana, they do not break your back when it comes time to pay your dues.

Share any unusual traditions or locations on campus

ULL has tons of different traditions usually from french culture. We have homecoming week, tailgating, marathons, Festival de International which is an international festival used to celebrate the many cultures around campus and around the city. We also have Lagniappe week which is a very large crawfish festival where we boil over 10,000 punds of crawfish and give it out to all who come out to celebrate, for free!

The Greek life here at UL is fantastic. There are a lot of different sororities and fraternities. They help out a lot with community service and social events around the school and they full of a lot of nice people.

How would you describe campus safety? Do you feel safe on campus?

This campus is very safe. One if the safest schools I have been to. We have a police department on campus, an emergency alert sysem that goes to all students via email and text. We also have emergency poles everywhere around campus that are blue with a bright light on top so that if any student is in trouble anywhere around campus, they can go to the blue pole, push the big red button, and the campus police will be able to locate exactly where that person is and go to them right away.I feel very safe living as an on campus student here at University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
