Overview
Originally founded as Indiana Central University, the University of Indianapolis is a 4-year private school affiliated with the United Methodist Church. UIndy confers undergraduate degrees in over 100 academic fields of study including the only Neonatal Nurse Practitioner program in the state. Additionally, UIndy hosts a number of study abroad and language immersion programs in Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. For students interested in the fine arts, UIndy features an Arts Gallery at the Christel DeHaan Fine Arts Center and the university’s Kellogg Writers Series brings a number of professional writers to campus throughout the year.

As a nursing major we get to experience class room styled learning but also practical and clinical styled learning, Being in a specific programs allows you to connect with students who are pursuing the same career as you. Some classes are more difficult than others, but the professors are always open to helping out the students.
