I've had some great professors my first semester here. The TA's are always there if you need help and also the professors. If you ever needed help or questions about the class you can always see your professor or TA. The professors and TA's have office hours when you can go see them if you needed help with anything. I learned alot from my professors and TA's. We have alot of resource centers to help you for further assistance.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I don't dorm, I commute and I love being here at this school, it was a very good choice and I'm glad I chose this school. The commute is enjoyable, I do not live too far, I enjoy exploring Chicago and the campus when I don't have classes. There are so many great people here that you will meet and I especially love the diversity. There are alot of activites you can get involved with here, sororities, fraternities a dance team cheerleading and plenty more. College is all about what you make it to be join clubs a frat or sorority to get to know more people other than being in classes.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
UIC is known as a research school and it's a very good school for anyone interested in a medical field. College now a days are very expensive and the tuition is pretty good compared to other schools. You definately will not be wasting money on your education here at UIC it's a great school. Definately take advantage of all the activiteis and clubs to join so that you can get your money's worth other than just education.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Get out of those bad study habits such as waiting to the last minute to write a paper because it's alot of work and reading. Get involved with different activites or clubs and I would consider living in the dorms, I personally don't live there but have friends that do and it's a good experience.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
Everyone, especially those considering a career in the medical field.
