Describe your college in three sentences.

The University of Evansville is a friendly campus that offers a great environment to pursue your career goals while also offering great opportunities to get involved and explore the world. The campus is a close-knit community which allows you to really get to know your professors and fellow classmates better. The community at Evansville is one that I am proud to be a part of.

Do you have any tips for prospective students?

If you want to fully understand what the Evansville campus is like, you have to visit!! My tip is to try and visit more than once and at least once while school is in session. I found the campus staff and students to be consistently welcoming and helpful and that consistency played a major part in why I chose the university. Also, it gives you a chance to talk to different people and hear an array of advice and perspectives about the university.

Do you find there’s enough academic rigor at your school?

I believe that the professors are very knowledgeable and push you to do your best. They expect a lot out of you as a college student because this is your education and your future career now, but they are also very supportive and willing to help when you need it. You have to put in a lot of work, but the outcome is well worth it.

Describe the dorm life at your college.

I think the dorm life is pretty average for a college campus. I was in a dorm that was pretty quiet throughout the year and was a good place to study for me personally. My dorm had the things I needed: a kitchen, laundry room, and showers. We also had a computer lab which was really convenient when I needed to print something out. It was a low-key dorm but that worked perfectly for me. Other dorms tended to be a little more social from what I hear.

Describe the food and dining at your college.

The food and dining was nothing spectacular, but it was decent for cafeteria food. Some days were better than others. The hours of dining were shorter than I would have liked and I often missed meals, but the university has a small convenience store where you can also get food anytime of the day.

What’s there to do for fun at your college?

I believe that the university has plenty of ways to get involved. There are always tons of events going on. They have weekly movie nights with popcorn and special events on Fridays when comedians come in to give a private show. There are tons of ways to get involved too. You just have to be willing to look around and listen for them.
