I am so glad I chose to attend UD. It is a fairly big campus, but most of the classes are small so it allows for individual attention. The teachers are very willing to help you in and outside of class. The workload is demanding, but very worth it.
Do you enjoy the experience at your school?
I love the campus and atmosphere of UD. Everyone is friendly and the campus is beautiful. You will discover when you take tours. It is very peaceful outside to study or just relax. There are so many clubs and organizations to be involved with. UD is such a nice school and great environment to further your education.
Do you feel you’re getting value for the money you’re spending on college?
University of Delaware is a bit pricey, but most students earn very nice scholarships. You won't regret spending the money by attending this school.
Do you have any tips for prospective students?
Some tips would be never wait til the last day to write your essays. It is possible but with all the other work you have to accomplish, it makes life much more complicated. Also, by a lanyard for your access card and key for your dorm, because it costs a lot of money to replace them and change the locks. Lastly, don't be afraid to get involved. I wish I was more involved my freshman year.
Which types of students will excel at your college?
UD is great for everyone. If you are interested in music, there is a great music program. You always have access to many practice rooms, and have a chance to really improve and learn from a great musical staff. If you are very interested in academics, teachers are willing to help you and there are plenty of places for quite studying or help centers for tutoring. The sports are great, and the football games are always fun. If you like activities, there is a club for everything. If they don't have your club, you can create it. You will enjoy your college experience by attending UD!
